The therapy lasts about a week. If symptoms recur, it is necessary to treat antimycotics in the form of tablets or capsules. Although it is not a sexually transmitted disease, it is not recommended to maintaine sexual relations while ongoing with treatment and symptoms. In the case of mixed infection by bacteria and fungi, treatment may be carried out combination of antibiotics and antimycotic.
